Micrometer-Scale Patterning of Multiple Dyes on Hyperbranched Polymer Thin Films Using Photoacid-Based Lithography
نویسندگان
چکیده
Micrometer-scale patterns of eosin and dansyl dyes on hyperbranched poly(acrylic acid) (PAA) organic thin films have been prepared using a combination of photoacid-based lithography and covalent grafting of dye molecules. Reflection infrared spectroscopy, optical microscopy, and fluorescence microscopy indicate that the dyes were attached within the intended regions. Patterned dye features having a spatial resolution as small as 5 μm were prepared.

Nanometer-Scale Patterning on PMMA Resist by Force Microscopy Lithography
Nanoscale science and technology has today mainly focused on the fabrication of nano devices. In this paper, we study the use of lithography process to build the desired nanostructures directly. Nanolithography on polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) surface is carried out by using Atomic Force Microscope (AFM) equipped with silicon tip, in contact mode. The analysis of the results shows that the ...
متن کاملPatterning of supported gold monolayers via chemical lift-off lithography
The supported monolayer of Au that accompanies alkanethiolate molecules removed by polymer stamps during chemical lift-off lithography is a scarcely studied hybrid material. We show that these Au-alkanethiolate layers on poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS) are transparent, functional, hybrid interfaces that can be patterned over nanometer, micrometer, and millimeter length scales. Unlike other ultrat...
متن کاملNanopatterned Self-Assembled Monolayers by Using Diblock Copolymer Micelles as Nanometer-Scale Adsorption and Etch Masks
Nanometer-scale patterning of surfaces is a highly relevant and interesting topic of research today, owing to its potential contributions to device miniaturization and creation of novel functional interfaces with applications ranging from electronics to biomedicine. Several methods of nanopatterning are known, for example, nanoimprint lithography, laser interferometry, extreme ultraviolet inter...
متن کاملMicrochannel molding: A soft lithography-inspired approach to micrometer-scale patterning
A new patterning technique for the deposition of sol-gels and chemical solution precursors was developed to address some of the limitations of soft lithography approaches. When using micromolding in capillaries to pattern precursors that exhibit large amounts of shrinkage during drying, topographical distortions develop. In place of patterning the elastomeric mold, the network of capillary chan...
متن کاملA Nanopatterning Technique: DUV Interferometry of a Reactive Plasma Polymer
Recently, great emphasis has been placed on the fabrication of chemical and topographical functional materials on both the micrometer and nanometer scale, due to novel phenomena that occur at this scale. Most techniques reported to date suffer from the ability to satisfy the different material requirements and makes it difficult to reproduce both topographical patterns with a wide range of well...
